Being born into a creative family has always sparked my interest for design of any kind. As a young girl, I was so drawn to crafts and always wanted to make something unique, something people would say “that’s different.” At the age of 14 I began making recital gifts for the other girls in my dance group. I started by creating my first wrapped bunch out of silks. For as ugly as I think it is now, I still have it as a reminder of how and why I wanted to become a floral designer. My favorite flowers are peonies. I love their natural beauty that allows them to stand out on their own.
